This Privacy Policy describes how TrustedFunders LLC (EIN: 37-2136816), located at 1209 Mountain Road PL NE STE R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States (hereinafter "TrustedFunders", "the Company", "we" or "our"), collects, uses, retains and protects the personal information of the users of our verified reviews platform, available at https://trustedfunders.com (the "Service").

By using the Service you accept the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Personal data we collect

We collect only the data necessary for the Service to work:

2.1. Data provided by the user

  • Name or alias: when submitting a review.
  • Email address: to verify your identity through a one-time code (OTP) before publishing a review.

2.2. Data collected automatically

  • IP address: used exclusively for rate-limiting mechanisms and abuse prevention. It is not linked to user profiles.
  • Functional cookies: cookies strictly necessary for the site to work (administration session, theme preference). See our Cookie Policy for more information.

2.3. Data we do NOT collect

  • We do not collect precise geolocation data.
  • We do not collect biometric data.
  • We do not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.
  • We do not collect browsing data beyond the IP address used for rate limiting.

3. Purposes of processing

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

4. Third-party service providers

To provide the Service we use the following external providers, which may process data on our behalf:

  • Resend: delivery of transactional emails (OTP codes, notifications). Resend privacy policy.
  • Stripe: payment processing for business plans. TrustedFunders does not store credit card data; it is handled directly by Stripe. Stripe privacy policy.
  • Telegram: delivery of internal moderation alerts to the TrustedFunders team. No user personal data is shared through this channel; alerts contain operational information only.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Data retention

  • Published reviews: kept indefinitely while they remain published on the platform. The author may request their removal at any time.
  • OTP codes: invalidated immediately after use or upon expiry (whichever happens first). They are not stored permanently.
  • IP addresses: kept temporarily in server logs and deleted periodically. They are not linked to the user's identity.
  • Business subscription data: kept while the contractual relationship is in force and for the legally required period after it ends.

6. International data transfers

Our servers and service providers may be located outside your country of residence, including the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these jurisdictions.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure that international transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including, where applicable, standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

7. Data security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or destruction, including:

  • OTP code verification to confirm email ownership.
  • Manual moderation of all reviews before publication.
  • Encryption of communications via HTTPS/TLS.
  • Restricting data access to strictly necessary staff.

8. Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you can exercise the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: request the deletion of your personal data, including reviews you have published.
  • Portability: request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Objection: object to the processing of your data when the legal basis is legitimate interest.
  • Restriction: request the restriction of processing in certain circumstances.

9. GDPR compliance (users in the European Economic Area)

If you reside in the European Economic Area, the processing of your data is additionally governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). In particular:

  • Legal bases for processing: explicit consent (when verifying your email via OTP to publish a review), contractual necessity (for business subscriptions) and legitimate interest (for moderation, security and abuse prevention).
  • Right to lodge a complaint: you have the right to file a complaint with the data protection authority of your country of residence if you believe the processing of your data infringes the GDPR.
  • Transfers outside the EEA: carried out with appropriate safeguards as described in section 6.
  • Data Protection Officer (DPO): given the current nature and scale of processing, TrustedFunders has not appointed a DPO. For any data protection enquiry, contact [email protected].

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you are a parent or legal guardian and become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us at [email protected] so we can delete it.

11. Links to third-party sites

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of every website you visit.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. In the event of significant changes, we will publish the updated version on this page with a new effective date. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
