Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the website https://trustedfunders.com and the verified reviews platform (the "Service"), operated by TrustedFunders LLC (EIN: 37-2136816), located at 1209 Mountain Road PL NE STE R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States ("TrustedFunders", "the Company", "we" or "our").
By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of them, you must not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
TrustedFunders is a platform for verified company reviews. The Service allows:
- Users: to read reviews about companies and publish their own reviews, after verifying their identity by email.
- Companies: to view their public profile and claim its management through paid subscription plans.
The TrustedFunders company directory is built from public data sources, mainly Wikidata (CC0/public domain licence).
2. Requirements for use
To use the Service you must:
- Be over 18 years old or have sufficient legal capacity in your jurisdiction.
- Provide truthful and accurate information.
- Not use the Service for unlawful purposes or in breach of these Terms.
No account is needed to read reviews or browse the company directory. To publish a review, you must verify your email address through a one-time code (OTP).
3. Publishing reviews
3.1. Mandatory verification
Every review requires prior verification of the author's email through an OTP code sent by email. Unverified reviews will not be processed.
3.2. Prior moderation
All reviews are manually checked by the TrustedFunders team before publication. We reserve the right to approve, reject or request changes to any review at our sole discretion.
3.3. Review rules
By submitting a review, you undertake that:
- The content is truthful and reflects your real experience with the reviewed company.
- It contains no defamatory, insulting, slanderous or false content.
- It is not spam, covert advertising or promotional content.
- It does not impersonate another person or entity.
- It contains no third parties' personal information without their consent.
- It contains no unlawful, obscene, threatening, discriminatory or hateful content.
- It is not a duplicate review, nor has it been published by the reviewed company itself in order to improve its rating.
3.4. Intellectual property of reviews
Reviews belong to their authors. By publishing a review on TrustedFunders, you grant the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence, for an indefinite term, to use, reproduce, display and distribute your review on the platform and in the media necessary to provide the Service. This licence ends if you request the deletion of your review and we remove it.
4. Reporting system
Any user may report a review they consider inappropriate, false or contrary to these Terms. TrustedFunders will review each report and, at its discretion, may:
- Keep the review published if it considers it compliant with the rules.
- Remove the review if it determines that it breaches these Terms.
- Request additional information from the reporter or the review's author.
TrustedFunders reserves the right to remove any content that, in its reasonable judgement, violates these Terms or is harmful to the platform or its users.
5. Company directory
5.1. Data sources
The TrustedFunders company directory is built from public information, mainly obtained from Wikidata (CC0/public domain licence). This data includes company names, descriptions, sectors and other public details.
5.2. Requests for correction or removal
If you represent a company listed in the directory and wish to request the correction, update or removal of its data, you can contact us at [email protected]. We will handle legitimate requests within a reasonable time.
6. Business plans and paid subscriptions
6.1. Description
Companies can claim their profile on TrustedFunders and access additional features by subscribing to a paid plan.
6.2. Payment processing
Payments are processed through Stripe. TrustedFunders does not directly store credit card data or financial information. Payments are additionally governed by the Stripe terms of service.
6.3. Renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless the subscriber cancels in advance. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no refunds are issued for the period already paid.
6.4. Price changes
TrustedFunders reserves the right to change subscription plan prices. We will notify you of any change at least 30 days in advance. If you disagree with the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
7. Intellectual property
7.1. TrustedFunders content
The design, logos, trademarks, original texts, source code and other elements of the Service that are not user reviews or public directory data are the property of TrustedFunders LLC or its licensors, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
7.2. Permitted use
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works of the Service's content without TrustedFunders' prior written authorisation, except for personal, non-commercial use.
8. Limitation of liability
8.1. About reviews
TrustedFunders does not guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy or completeness of the reviews published by users. Although we moderate content before publication, reviews reflect their authors' opinions, not those of TrustedFunders.
8.2. About the Service
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". TrustedFunders does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your particular expectations.
8.3. Liability cap
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TrustedFunders' total liability towards the user, for any claim arising from these Terms or the use of the Service, shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the user to TrustedFunders during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.
In no event shall TrustedFunders be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data or reputation.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrustedFunders disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement of third-party rights.
10. Termination
10.1. By TrustedFunders
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately and without notice if:
- You breach these Terms.
- You publish content that violates the platform rules.
- You make abusive or fraudulent use of the Service.
10.2. By the user
You may stop using the Service at any time. If you want your data or reviews deleted, contact us at [email protected].
11. Links to third-party sites
The Service may contain links to websites operated by third parties. We do not control and accept no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of those sites.
12. For European Union users
If you reside in the European Union or the European Economic Area:
- These Terms do not limit the rights you hold as a consumer under the mandatory legislation of your country of residence.
- You have the right to withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of subscribing, unless you have expressly requested the immediate start of the service.

13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force. The invalid provision shall be amended to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
14. Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. In the event of significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you at least 30 days in advance.
Continued use of the Service after the amended Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of them. If you disagree, stop using the Service.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without prejudice to the rights you hold as a consumer under the mandatory legislation of your place of residence.
For the resolution of any dispute arising from these Terms, the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the State of New Mexico, United States, unless the applicable law of your place of residence mandates a different forum.
